Axians develops an innovative technological platform for NOVA School of Business and Economics

Axians is set to assume the role of strategy advisor in a consortium of technology companies responsible for IT at Nova School of Business and Economics. The partnership signed between the two parties aims to develop the technical feasibility plan and study for the school’s ICT platform, supporting the innovative vision that will be implemented on the institution’s new campus. Axians will design the platform that will integrate and support the concept.

This partnership is in line with Axians’ motto, “the best of ICT with a human touch”, strengthening the involvement of the teams of strategic consultants who are already collaborating on the design of the new Carcavelos Campus’ technological platform. The campus being built in the Carcavelos area next to São Julião da Barra fort will be the only one to integrate the concept of “learning and living technology”.

The campus technology is being designed to create the conditions necessary for an interactive lifestyle based on new forms of collaboration that keep the whole community of students and alumni connected throughout their lives at Nova SBE.

The Portuguese Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon provides an excellent level of higher education and research. The School has strived since its beginning, almost 30 years ago, to serve the local market, benchmarking international standards and practices.

Presently, the school is in the process of moving from the “import model” of the past (“providing local students with the best methods and practices the world had to offer”) to an “export model”, where the key challenge is to compete in the market of “tradable” (internationally mobile) students.

The project will serve up to 5,000 direct users and indirectly benefit the entire community of citizens and temporary visitors within the areas surrounding the Campus, as part of a regional revitalisation project with a national impact through the international dimension sought as top global Business School.
