Optimization of waste collection, intelligent lighting, management of pedestrian flows, improvement of air quality, the IoT offer for the cities of Axians is based on a private communication network, sensors, a storage platform and data management.
Axians supports the digital transformation of cities and territories
From the deployment of very high speed telecom infrastructure, to the creation of new uses, the VINCI Energies ICT brand puts its expertise at the service of local development.
Our goal is to offer mayors to develop cities in which quality of life is increased. We deploy secure multiservice communication infrastructures, sensors that collect data to improve the citizens lives, the environment, energy management, or urban and periurban transport prediction.
explains Vincent Lemoux, Director at VINCI Energies Sud Est.
IoT know-how for local authorities illustrated by the city of Aix en Provence
As an integrator of global solutions, we support cities and local communities for end to end projects from the definition of use cases, to the governance of the platform, through technical architecture consulting, the deployment and operation of infrastructures (networks, sensors, datalake). We are the conductor of all the technological partners involved in all aspects of the project
says Vincent Lemoux, Director at VINCI Energies Sud Est.
For his part, Juan Lopez CTO at Axians insists on Axians’ offer specificity:
Cities and local authorities continue to own infrastructure and data. This notion of ownership is essential because it allows them to rely on a transversal infrastructure, fed by data from all their sensors they own. Thanks to this non-silted infrastructure and field data, mayors and local authorities can develop new services independently.
The very high speed network serving the valuation of territories
In addition to its IT expertise, Axians is also a major player in the deployment of telecommunication infrastructures, particularly the “Plan France Très Haut Débit”. Its experts participate in the development and attractiveness of the territories by reducing the digital divide. By 2022, 26 French departments will be deployed by Axians, which designs the networks and manages the specialized companies of the VINCI Energies group in the deployment work. Eventually, 600,000 households in rural areas will be connected to fiber optics and will benefit from Very High Speed (over 30 Mb / s).
Axians supports the Pays Voironnais, through PVNum, and accelerates digital development by deploying a high-speed fiber optic network.
